December 8th–18, 2022
In 2016, Larrie opened a space at 27 Orchard St. Since then, Larrie has shaped brand identities for artists, businesses, and organizations. We are excited to announce our transition to a new phase with the closing of our physical space. In 2023, we will continue to operate as a consultancy focused on narrative brand-building, communications, and visual identities.
To celebrate our accomplishments and dedication to artists’ voices over the past six years at 27 Orchard St., we will open a final group exhibition, 27 Orchard St! featuring work by past artists, on view from Thursday, December 8–18, 2022 with a reception on Friday, December 9 from 6–9 pm.
Many people know Larrie as a gallery, yet that description doesn’t encompass the entire picture. In 2016, we began developing a consultancy practice under the name Larrie. When we opened 27 Orchard St., we sought to build an ecosystem where we could provide the platform of a physical space alongside visibility and communications support for artists establishing their footing in NYC. Our consultancy work at Larrie supported this mission, operating with the same ethos on a different scale. Between exhibitions, we activated the space through collaborative programming with brands in fashion and creative industries that were in need of a platform to present their work.
We exhibited first solo exhibitions for artists, including Sean-Kierre Lyons, Daniel Arnold, Kristen Wentrcek and Andrew Zebulon, Olivia Vigo, Alicia Mersy, Liz Hopkins, Vanessa Thill, Ashley Teamer, Camilla Deterre, Ilana Harris-Babou, Serban Ionescu, Thea Gregorius, Tony Bluestone, Hayley Martell, Sara Rabin, and Viva Ruiz.
